Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Purchase a Newly-Built Pacific Palisades Estate
According to TMZ, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have entered escrow on an opulent Pacific Palisades estate, culminating two long years of house-hunting. The luxurious newly-built mansion, listed at $34.5 million and covering 15,000 square feet, features seven bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, and ample living space. The estate, built by a group of developers, has not yet been officially transferred, so it remains unknown how much the buyers negotiated the price. However, given that it first hit the market less than a month ago, it's likely that they agreed to pay close to the asking price.
The property, described in the listing as a "Hamptons-esque traditional," is surrounded by tall walls, hedges, and native sycamore trees. Visitors are welcomed by a pea-gravel motorcourt accessed via a brick porte-cochère, while the elegant interior boasts hardwood floors and a neutral color palette throughout. The mansion is flooded with natural light, and includes a home library, movie theater, gym, wine cellar, and a "health spa," according to the listing.
The estate features four kitchens in total, including a gourmet kitchen and service kitchen in the main house, an outdoor kitchen for al fresco dining, and a fourth kitchen in the detached guesthouse. The property's main house has six bedrooms, while the primary suite includes dual bathrooms, dual closets, and a balcony overlooking the backyard.
Outside, a dark-bottom pool is ringed by a large patio, and there are grassy lawns for play. Lopez, 53, has already listed her resort-like Bel Air home for sale at $42 million, while Affleck, 50, sold his Palisades bachelor pad for $28 million last year, so the Hollywood couple seems ready for their highly-publicized move.
