Summer Concerts on the East Side
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics, then sit back and relax to the sounds of summer! On the Eastside, we are lucky to have a wide array of choices to enjoy from the family-friendly community park events to the cutting edge artists showcased at the California Plaza and everything in between.
Summer Concerts in the Park
Enjoy a free concert with your picnic dinner. Performers during the series include Verdugo Swing Society, Hodads, JX3, Orquesta Charangoa, The Breakfast Club, and Bobby and the Gypsies. Each concert will attract over 600 people coming to enjoy the music in Glendale’s great outdoors. Pack your picnic basket, gather your family and come join in for 6 wonderful evenings of great music and fun.
When: Wednesdays, July 11 through August 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m

The Brand Library & Art Center Performance Series
A free cultural asset to residents and attracts visitors to experience arts and cultural opportunities in the city. This Performance Series is designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. Seating is limited and first come first served, no reserved seating. The Plaza seats 75 - 90 people for a performance; visitors are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and sit on the grassy hillsides in Brand Park
When: Fridays, June through August, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m

Enjoy a free concert with your picnic dinner sponsored by the Eagle Rock Chamber of Commerce. This series features tribute bands to help you step back in time.
When: Sundays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m

Summer Concerts in the Park Summer Concert Series
Concerts traditionally begin Memorial Day weekend and continue through the end of August. Featured bands play a variety of music from rock and roll, blues, reggae, and country. All are welcome to bring a picnic basket, blankets, and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening with family and friends.

Sizzling Summer Nights
Dance the night away with L.A.’s best salsa and Latin fusion bands at the Autry’s popular summer series. The outdoor parties include free lessons with an instructor, access to museum galleries, a separate children’s dance floor, and more. Tacos, margaritas, and other light refreshments are available for purchase from Crossroads West.
When: Thursday Nights, July 5–August 16, 2018, 5:30–9:00 p.m.

L.A. Zoo’s Roaring Nights summer series
The L.A. Zoo’s Roaring Nights summer series is back and better than ever – offering fun, fascinating explorations at the intersection of music, art, and wildlife. Enjoy animal spotlights and close-ups until 8 p.m., then spend the rest of the evening exploring three dance areas, open-air lounges, an interactive art gallery, and eclectic food truck offerings. 21 and over

It’s time to grab your lawn chair, your picnic basket, and your family and head down to the Levitt for an incredible 2017 Season of FREE Concerts under the stars in beautiful Memorial Park in Pasadena. Levitt Pavilion will again present your favorite artists from across the globe. Levitt artists encompass a variety of genres including World, Jazz/Blues, Children’s Concerts, Americana, and Latin. Whether you come to see GRAMMY winners or emerging artists, the Levitt concerts are not to be missed! There are also plenty of food options a few blocks away in Old Town Pasadena.

This Annual Altadena Concert series is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Altadena. The series offers an array of music styles such a Rock, Country, Cajun, Reggae, Latin and R&B

Grand Performances at the California Plaza
This free outdoor concert series features live performances by artists from around the world at the gorgeous water-encompassed California Plaza stage in DTLA. With Japanese hip-hop and a pan-African funk band, this series spans multiple genres and continents. Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Gaby Morena and Buyepongo are among this year's performers on the Downtown stage. Don’t miss a diverse and highly intriguing mix of musical performances, live scores, films, poetry, and theater.

Chinatown Summer Nights
Part food event, part summer party, Chinatown Summer Nights presents an exciting hot spot for Angelenos this summer. Taste the many culinary offerings of Chinatown and LA’s gourmet food trucks; sample the neighborhood’s wares; watch Chinese chefs perform cooking demonstrations; experience large-scale, outdoor video projections; take part in hands-on, Chinese cultural activities presented by local organizations and museums; sip on craft brews and dance in Central Plaza with 89.9 KCRW’s DJ’s!
