It is time to grab a picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy our beautiful Southern California nights with free entertainment. A wide array or artists are performing world music, classic rock, blues, reggae and country this summer at a variety of east side locations.

Levitt Pavilion - Pasadena

The Friends of Levitt Pavilion Pasadena, a a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 2003 to present 50 summer concerts annually. Admission is always FREE, making live music and the arts accessible to all. The concerts feature a diverse lineup of artists from acclaimed, emerging talent to seasoned, award-winning performers. Programming is designed to appeal to all tastes, bringing people from all walks of life together to share an evening of great music. As music fills the park, so do families, friends, and neighbors from the surrounding area, creating community through music. Since 2003, over 1,000,000 people have gathered on the lawn at the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena to picnic on the grassy lawn and enjoy music under the stars.


Summer Concerts in the Park - Glendale

Summer Concerts in the Park, a popular summertime family program organized by the Community Services & Parks department, is coming back summer of 2016. Located at the north end of Verdugo park on Wednesdays, June 29 through August 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and enjoy a free concert. Performers during the series include: Verdugo Swing Society, Reflexx 80's, The Hodads, Retro-Soul, The Swing Cats Big Band, Incendio, World Fusion. Each concert will attract over 600 people coming to enjoy the music in Glendale’s great outdoors.  Pack your picnic basket, gather your family and come join us for 6 wonderful evenings of great music and fun. 


Concerts in the Park - Eagle Rock

This series is organized by the Eagle Rock Chamber of Commerce. Information was not available on their website however the flyer below provides the particulars. 

Grand Performances - Downtown Los Angeles

Grand Performances is Southern California’s premiere award-winning free concert presenter. Located in downtown Los Angeles at California Plaza, Grand Performances mission is to bring together the diverse peoples of Los Angeles through quality free performing arts programs that reflect the rich tapestry of this region’s communities.


Pershing Square  Saturday Concert Series - Downtown Los Angeles

This summer’s years Downtown Stage night lineup has something for everyone including classic, alternative and world beat music. On Saturday nights the concert lawn is open to the public at 7:00 pm to make sure everyone is comfortable when the music starts at 8:00 pm. A Beer, Wine, and a Hard Bar will be open for guests who can provide identification of legal drinking age. A variety of food trucks provide dining options.


Music in the Park Summer Concert Series - La Canada

The City's Music in the Park Summer Concert Series is held at Memorial Park during the summer on Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  Concerts traditionally begin Memorial Day weekend and continue through the end of August.  Featured bands play a variety of music from rock and roll, blues, reggae, and country.  All are welcome to bring a picnic basket, blankets, and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening with family and friends.
